Wade Harper is the Bert & Natalie Vallee Professor of Molecular Pathology and Chairman of the Department of Cell Biology at Harvard Medical School.  A world leader in elucidating the molecular basis for signaling cascades mediated by protein phosphorylation and ubiquitination, he employs proteomic and genetic approaches to uncover key signaling systems, ubiquitin ligases, and regulatory circuits that control various biological pathways.  He was a postdoctoral scientist in Bert Vallee’s laboratory from 1984-1988.
